REFLECTIONS
Gospel Reflection on John 1:35-42

Come and See
In John 1:35-42, we witness a powerful moment as two of John the Baptist's disciples hear him declare, "Behold, the Lamb of God!" They follow Jesus, who then asks them, "What are you seeking?" They respond, "Rabbi, where are you staying?" Jesus welcomes them with the simple invitation, "Come and see."
This passage invites us to embrace the profound significance of "Come and see." It is an invitation to encounter Jesus personally, to explore the depths of His teachings and His love. Just as these disciples followed Jesus and stayed with Him, we are called to seek Him, to inquire, and to experience His presence.
Our response is to approach Jesus with eagerness. Seek Him, ask questions, and spend time in His presence. In doing so, we can deepen our relationship with Him, as we come to understand that He is the Messiah, the source of life and truth. As we journey with Jesus, may we also extend His invitation to others, saying, "Come and see.".
