MORNING MESSAGE

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17

Good Morning! As we gather in faith and fellowship this beautiful morning, let us reflect on the profound words from 2 Corinthians 5:17. This passage is a powerful reminder of the transformative power of our faith in Christ. In Him, we are reborn, our past is redeemed, and a new path is set before us.

Today, let us embrace this new creation that we have become in Christ. Let every action, word, and thought reflect this renewal. As we partake in the Eucharist, let it nourish and fortify this new life within us. May we leave behind what no longer serves us and step forward in faith and love, bearing witness to the new creation we embody through God's grace.

Wishing you a day filled with the joy and hope of new beginnings in Christ.

REFLECTIONS
Gospel Reflection on Mark 1: 21-28

Jesus Commands the Unclean Spirt to Depart

In Mark 1:21-28, Jesus enters the synagogue in Capernaum and begins to teach with a level of authority that astonishes those present. Suddenly, a man with an unclean spirit cries out, recognizing Jesus as the Holy One of God. Jesus commands the unclean spirit to be silent and come out of the man, and the spirit obeys, convulsing the man but leaving him unharmed. The witnesses are amazed at Jesus' authority, spreading His fame throughout the region.

This passage invites us to reflect on Jesus' divine authority over spiritual darkness and His power to deliver us from the forces of evil.

As we contemplate this passage, we witness Jesus' unmatched authority over the spiritual realm. His mere presence and words command obedience from the unclean spirit, demonstrating His dominion over darkness. In our own lives, we may face various forms of spiritual oppression or darkness, but through faith in Jesus, we can find deliverance and liberation.

May we acknowledge the unparalleled authority of Jesus in our spiritual battles, trusting in His power to cast out darkness and bring healing and wholeness. Just as the witnesses in the synagogue were amazed, let us be awestruck by the authority of Christ and spread His fame by sharing the good news of His power to overcome all that afflicts us.
